Papagayo Village is a unique boutique hotel in the heart of Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste. We are an easy 10 minute walk to the beach. The property consists of a gated community of seven separate villas providing 9 bedrooms. It is a great tropical venue for wedding parties, family reunions, friend trips, or family low stress get-aways. We will even help you plan some adventures. Our Villas scroll barOur villas are named for local beaches and include such amenities as covered lanais, hammocks, roof top terraces, wi-fi internet, cable t.v., phone, air conditioning, and housekeeping. Our natural well fed water is great for drinking right out of the tap. The two bedroom villas also include a fully-equipped kitchen, living area, and washing machine. Our villas rent for $40 - $90 a night or for a weekly rate of $200 - $600 depending on the season. Details and rates for each villa are available by clicking the tabs to the left. The one-bedroom villas also include a fully equipped kitchen, and large sleeping area. We also have two studios available which include microwave, small fridge, cable tv, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, private bathroom and housekeeping. Discounts apply to monthly rentals. DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATIONSA refundable hold/security deposit of 20% is due at reservation. Cancellations received 30 days or more prior to the reservation date will receive 50% of their deposit back. Depending on availability, re-applying the deposit to new reservation dates may be available.Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the arrival date or "no shows" will be charged the total amount of their reservation deposit. Due to the popularity of Christmas, New Years and Easter dates, all cancellations received less than 60 days prior to arrival will result in loss of deposit.

Getting to Costa Rica is Easy Arriving at Papagayo Village......is Even EasierDaniel Oduber International Airport, just West of Liberia provides easy access to Papagayo Village. Delta, Continental, and American Airlines all provide direct flights from their respective hubs in the United States. All you need for visiting Costa Rica is a current passport and a spirit of adventure. The first thing you will see upon arrival is one of our smiling faces to greet you at the airport. From there we will make the whopping 20 minute drive to your awaiting villa and welcome beverage. If you would like a rental car, we have arranged for National Car Rentals to deliver your car to Papagayo Village and complete the paperwork right there in your villa. These are the lowest rates we have been able to negotiate for our guests.However, you may choose to skip the car as many amenities are within walking distance and there are always buses, taxis, and tour vans available for periodic excursions. If you have a rental car company of preference, most of the major carriers provide shuttles from the airport to their nearby facilities.

The majority of weddings here in Guanacaste are performed by

lawyers. However for many couples, their "dream" wedding has a definite spiritual dimension to it and they would like to have a

minister officiate. There are very few Protestant/non-

denominational pastors available for destination weddings in the

area. That led Pastor Allen to form Destination Weddings Costa Rica. With 25 years of pastoral experience in the United States, Pastor Allen has worked with hundreds of couples in putting together just the right ceremony for the biggest day of their lives. Now living in Playa Hermosa, and pastoring Celebration Community Church , Pastor Allen is bringing his enthusiasm and experience with weddings to Costa Rica.

Our philiosophy is to help couples plan and create the romantic tropical wedding of which dreams are made. A wedding ceremony should reflect the uniqueness of each couple, highlight the beauty of a particular venue, and serve as a metaphor for the rest of their lives together. For nothing says "forever" like gazing out to where the ocean meets the horizon, the sun melting into the sea, bare toes curled in the warm sand, a soft breeze on your cheeks, the smell of the tropics, the sound of the crashing waves, and the loving voice of your sweetheart, "I do!"

The Rill Family scroll barDavid and Lori Rill live in Western Washington along with their two daughters, Mackenzie and Ellie. David and Lori grew up in the Pacific Northwest. David graduated from the University of Washington and excelled as a middle linebacker for the Huskies. Lori received her undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA and her masters from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Both of their daughters are very active in sports, with Mackenzie playing volleyball and Ellie playing soccer and fast pitch. The Rills enjoy snow skiing, boating on Lake Cushman and spending time at their yurt with friends. Summers are spent pulling the kids behind the boat on tubes and roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Their love of the water and outdoors led them to the beautiful country of Costa Rica. They have enjoyed zipline tours, the volcanoes and beaches of Costa Rica and look forward to spending more time there with family and friends.

Pastor Allen Cudahy Allen grew up on the shores of Puget Sound as a third generation native of Washington State, USA. Quite the sports enthusiast, Allen particularly enjoys playing tennis and golf. Allen graduated from California Lutheran University and Luther Seminary in St Paul, MN. He was ordained into the ELCA in 1984 and has served the past 20 years as senior minister of the rapidly growing First Lutheran Community Church in Port Orchard, Washington. As one of the proprietors of Papagayo Village, Pastor Allen uses his considerable experience to facilitate and lead conferences, retreats, continuing education events, leadership groups, personal sabbaticals, weddings, renewals on the beach, marriage encounter, and volunteer and youth service trips. But what brings the pura vida to his new Costa Rican lifestyle is that he gets to show his guests to his favorite beaches and local hang outs as well as leading high adventure excursions into one of Gods most amazing natural wonderlands. Allen also stays busy pastoring the newly formed Celebration Community Church in Playa Hermosa where he resides fulltime.

Celebration Community Church is a place for everyone. People from all walks of life and spiritual journeys gather each Sunday morning at 10:00 here at Papagayo Village to learn more about ourselves, to grow in our relationship with God, to explore the teachings of Jesus, to be supported by a loving faith community, and to embrace spiritual principles that we can use to build stronger families, a more loving community and a better world. Pastor Allen uses 25 years of pastoral experience and theological study to bring messages filled with inspirational insight, solid cutting-edge biblical applications, and practical tools for happier, healthier, and more generous living. Each worship service engages gifted musicians, dancers, performers, preachers, teachers, and artists from our local community as well as those visiting with us from out of town.
